Terms
Terms of service
Last updated: March 11, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Droprq website, fan request flows, DJ tools, and related services. By using Droprq, you agree to these terms.
1. Scope
These terms apply to visitors, waitlist subscribers, DJs, fans, and anyone else who accesses or uses Droprq. They cover the public website, DJ onboarding and dashboard features, fan song-request flows, payment-related features, and other services we make available through the product.
2. Eligibility and acceptable use
You may use Droprq only if you can form a binding agreement with us and your use complies with applicable law. You may not use the service to harass, defraud, impersonate others, violate intellectual property rights, interfere with events, or submit unlawful, abusive, or harmful content.
- Fans are responsible for the requests, notes, and payments they choose to submit.
- DJs are responsible for how they configure and use Droprq during live events.
- You are responsible for keeping any account or login access under your control.
3. How Droprq works
Droprq helps live performers receive song requests and tips from fans through a QR-based mobile flow. Fans can submit requests from their phone, and DJs can review, accept, dismiss, or otherwise manage those requests through their dashboard.
Droprq is a platform tool. We do not guarantee that any request will be accepted, played, responded to, or available at any particular time. DJs keep discretion over what fits the room, the event, and their performance.
4. Fan requests, notes, and conduct
When you send a request as a fan, you are responsible for the song information, note, tip selection, and any other content or input you submit. Do not send content that is abusive, threatening, deceptive, defamatory, infringing, sexually explicit in a way that violates law or venue rules, or otherwise inappropriate for the event.
We may remove content, block requests, or restrict access if we believe your use creates risk for Droprq, DJs, fans, venues, or payment partners.
5. DJ discretion and responsibilities
DJs decide whether a request fits the room. A submitted request does not create a promise that the requested song will be played, that it will be played in a particular order, or that it will be played at all.
- DJs are responsible for their event settings, request moderation, and live decisions.
- DJs must use Stripe Connect or other supported payout tools as required to receive payouts.
- DJs are responsible for complying with venue rules, licensing obligations, tax obligations, and local laws that apply to their performances or payouts.
6. Payments, fees, and payouts
Droprq supports song-request flows that may include optional tipping or required-tip payment flows, depending on how a DJ has configured the session. If you are a fan, the payment flow shown to you at checkout controls when you are charged.
Fan payments are processed through Stripe. DJs may receive payouts through Stripe Connect subject to Stripe's terms, onboarding requirements, account reviews, reserves, payout timing, and service availability. Droprq does not control Stripe's decisions, verification requirements, or payout schedules.
- Fans authorize Droprq and its payment partners to process the charges they approve.
- Service fees and other charges shown at checkout are part of the total amount due.
- DJs are responsible for the accuracy of any payout or tax information they provide.
7. Cancellations, rejected requests, and refunds
Because Droprq supports different request flows, refund outcomes depend on when payment was collected and whether the transaction completed as intended.
- If a payment has not yet been collected, a request may expire, be canceled, or be declined without a completed charge.
- If a payment was collected for a submitted request, that payment does not guarantee the song will be played.
- Our separate Refund Policy explains when refunds may be available for duplicate charges, technical failures, or other qualifying issues.
By using Droprq, you acknowledge that requests and tips are generally non-refundable once submitted successfully unless our Refund Policy or applicable law says otherwise.
8. Prohibited activity
- Trying to bypass rate limits, moderation controls, payment protections, or access restrictions.
- Using bots, scraping, or automated methods to interfere with the service or collect data without permission.
- Submitting fraudulent payments, stolen payment methods, or misleading request information.
- Using Droprq in a way that could damage the service, other users, venues, or third-party partners.
9. Third-party services
Droprq relies on third-party services such as Stripe, Stripe Connect, Supabase, Resend, and hosting or analytics providers. Your use of features powered by those services may also be subject to their separate terms, privacy policies, and operational requirements.
We are not responsible for third-party service outages, account reviews, payment holds, browser behavior, or other issues caused by providers we do not control.
10. Intellectual property
Droprq and its related branding, software, design, and content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the service for its intended purpose.
You may not copy, reverse engineer, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the service except as permitted by law or with our written permission.
11. Service availability and changes
Droprq is an evolving product. We may add, remove, pause, or change features at any time, including request flows, pricing presentation, payout features, eligibility rules, or access requirements. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.
12. Disclaimers
Droprq is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent allowed by law. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
We do not guarantee performance outcomes for DJs, fan behavior, payment completion, venue compatibility, or earnings.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Droprq will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, reputational harm, or payment-partner actions arising from or related to your use of the service.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for claims arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100) or the amount you paid us, if any, in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to Droprq at any time if we believe you have violated these terms, created risk for the service or others, or if we need to protect the platform, payment partners, DJs, fans, or venues.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service as Droprq evolves. If we make material changes, we may update the date at the top of this page and provide additional notice where appropriate. Your continued use of the service after updated terms become effective means you accept the revised terms.
